We are so fortunate in San Antonio to have an awesome SASHLA board! With this year flying by so quickly, we have had to make some changes to our conferences and BHSM activity.  I encourage everyone to attend our events this year.  The board is hoping to make the BHSM activity an annual event.

As for the conference changes, everyone should be receiving a post card in the mail announcing the Spring and Summer Conference dates.  The Spring Conference date was changed, due to the Walk for Autism being held the same date. The new date is Saturday, May 5, 2012 and will be held at the ESC-Region 20.   We are excited to welcome Sherry Sancibrian as our Summer Conference speaker.  She will be presenting  “Partners in Literacy” on Saturday, June 23, 2012. 

SASHLA’s BHSM activity will be a “Happy Hour” at Brio Tuscan Grill on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  We look forward to seeing our members at this event.  Emails will be sent out at the date approaches. 

SASHLA will be going “paperless” starting in 2013.  Please send your email address to sanantonioshla@yahoo.com to be added to our mailing list.  We will not send any postcards or brochures in 2013, so make sure we have your email address to receive information.
